Title: Another Introduction to Temperley-Lieb Algebras

Abstract: The Temperley-Lieb algebra is the first and simplest example of a "diagrammatic algebra". You can draw pictures to represent generators in such a way that some abstract algebraic facts become "visually obvious". I will explain the basic definitions and properties in both ways: algebraic and diagrammatic. (Wade Bloomquist gave a very similar talk on Wednesday. I will cover some different topics, but I will not assume you went to Wade's talk.)
