UCSB MATHEMATICS SUMMER RESEARCH PROGRAM FOR UNDERGRADUATES 2014

Pending of funding: We have been informed by NSF that our proposal is still under review and they will not be able to make a decision on time for this year. Regretfully, we need to cancel our program this year. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Deadline for applications:   March 3, 2014.        



This is an eight-week program with the following goals:

- Provide an opportunity to undergraduate students to have a research experience in mathematics.
- Help students develop skills to communicate the results of  their research.
-Produce scientific publications.
-Encourage students to pursue a career in mathematics.

The UCSB Mathematics Summer Research Program for Undergraduates  is supported by the National Science Foundation.  Additionally, this year two students will be supported by the Research Training Groups in Topology and Geometry program.
